You Can Make It Monday: Fresh Fruit Popsicles!

Today I want to share with you a fun and easy, but more importantly, HEALTHY summer  treat for little ones: Fresh fruit and frozen yogurt popsicles! These frozen treats were inspired by this post but altered a little bit.  They’re as fun to assemble as they are to eat!

To make these ice pops you will need something to freeze them in! I got an ice pop tray from the drugstore for $2. But, you could also just use little plastic or paper cups and wooden popsicle sticks from a craft store.

Ingredients:
Fresh fruit ! Bananas, Kiwi, Nectarine, Cherries.
Organic low fat strawberry yogurt
Orange Juice

Once you’ve diced up your washed fruit into tiny pieces, the rest is pretty simple and fun. Simply create combinations of fruit and yogurt or juice in each cup. I made 4 different combos : Banana-kiwi-strawberry yogurt, nectarine-banana-kiwi- OJ, cherry-banana-stawberry yogurt, and nectarine-kiwi-banana-cherry-OJ.

Make sure you are layering fruit and liquid so that there aren’t any air bubbles in your ice pop!

Once your done designing your dessert, pop them in the freezer for 3-4hrs, or overnight if you can wait!

And there you have it. A refreshing summer treat that you and the kids will enjoy!
